XCMG Rubber Tire Rollers (XP Series) are purpose-built for final asphalt compaction and sealing layer work, where the kneading action of pneumatic tires produces superior inter-particle bonding and waterproof sealing that steel rollers cannot achieve.
Compaction Principle: Pneumatic tires apply flexible contact pressure; combined weight and tire deflection create a kneading effect that closes surface voids and improves density without crushing aggregate. Pressure adjustable via added ballast (sand/steel) — 150 kPa (light) to 580 kPa (heavy).
Tire Configuration: Front 4–5 tires / Rear 5–6 tires — staggered overlapping coverage eliminates gaps; front axle ±50° oscillation maintains even pressure on uneven surfaces.
Weight & Pressure: Operating weight ranges 10t–30t; compaction width 2,055–2,800 mm; rolling pressure 150–580 kPa adjustable.
Powertrain & Control: SDEC / Cummins diesel (90–186 kW); Stage III / Tier 3 / Stage V compliant; hydrostatic all-wheel drive; travel speed 0–16–20 km/h; 20–22% gradeability; ±30° steering.
